Can i get a desease form smoking someone elses joint??

Can i get a disease form smoking someone elses joint?? I was at a concert and they were passing around a joint and from what i saw i only saw like 4 people before me hit it. I dont know, but i was just wondering if i could get a disease from doing that. I wiped my lips off after, I didnt lick them until i rinsed them off, and I spit constantly, just to make sure. Thanks.

The answer is "yes", with a caveat.

It is unlikely. How unlikely? Very unlikely.

There are a lot of "co-factors", including the state of your immune system, the specific organism (virus or bacteria and the type), and there was a cut in your mouth providing access to the blood system.
