Cholesterol levels ?

Hello. I'm a 17 year old female &my blood work lab results just got mailed back to me. Can anyone explain to me what these mean ? 


Cholesterol total - 181 mg/dL
Triglycerides - 235 mg/dL
HDL cholesterol - 34 mg/dL
LDL cholesterol - 100 mg/dL
Chol/hdlc ratio - 5.3

What is your diet like?  Your Cholesterol and Triglycerides are high for a 17 year old.

Your cholesterol, in my opinion, is just fine. However, your triglycerides are high and your HDL is low. Are you eating a lot of sugar? If so, cut back and also get more exercise, this should help with both. Also, add a tablespoon of Carlson Fish Oil to your diet daily, this really helps.
