The white spots on your hands may be due to a condition called livedo reticularis. Livedo reticularis is thought to be due to some abnormality of local blood circulation. This discolouration is described as lacy or net-like in appearance and commonly found on arms, legs, hands, and feet.  Livedo reticularis may be aggravated by cold exposure and is persistent; does not disappear after warming.

Livedo reticularis is often associated with elevated levels of aCL antibodies or lupus anticoagulant (11-22%).

Conditions linked to Livedo reticularis include:

Idiopathic livedo reticularis (unknown cause)
Antiphospholipid syndrome
Sneddon's syndrome
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
Autoimmune haemolytic anaemia
Polyarteritis nodosa
Rheumatoid arthritis
Dermatomyositis
Cold agglutinin syndrome
Livedoid vasculitis
Cryoglobulinaemia
Arteriosclerosis (due to cholesterol emboli) and homocystinuria
Thrombocythaemia or polycythaemia rubra vera
Infections (syphilis, tuberculosis, lyme disease, epstein barr)
Hypercalcaemia
Lymphoma
Pancreatitis
Drugs - amantadine, hydroxyurea
Acute Kidney Failure - due to cholesterol emboli
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Rare - Thyroid disorders
Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita (extremely rare)

I discovered by accident what dehydration can do to your body without any awareness. Dehydration can bring on low-blood pressure that has several symptoms you may recognize. I rose quickly from a chair and fainted. I became dizzy, sweating and began having hot and cold chills like I was freezing for a an hour. Nausea followed, but I did not vomit. My PA at the VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas,  alerted me to start drinking water and fluids immediately to turn-off the chills. I drank 6-7 glasses of water a day for a week and all symptoms stopped. During the chills, I took my blood pressure and it registered 67/59/60. A normal BP is 120/70/70.

Make sure you see a board certified internal medical physician or a rheumatologist. Just because one Dr can't find the root of the problem doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Second opinions help and may find the answer. Keep up the good attitude and  validate your symptoms by seeking the truth and finding treatment. Not all Drs. are good. At least try 2nd opinion.
