Collection of venous blood by venipuncture - CPT 36415

Hi,

Why the CPT 36415 ( Collection of venous blood by venipuncture ) was denied by Most of the Insurance and Medicare has paid for this service.

I would ask the lab that drew the blood. I would also ask your insurance holder and Medicare, maybe things have changed.  I, like you, thought insurances and Medicare paid for this, although, I know the lab where I have my blood drawn charges separately for the veni puncture and it seems I vaguely remember it saying some companies don't pay for the draw, seems strange to me.
