Constant dizzy, unclear, woozy head feeling

I gave birth 15 weeks ago and since then I have been battling with a constant dizzy, unclear feeling. My symptoms are very hard to describe. It feels like I haven't gotten enough sleep, but I have, kind of feels like I have been drinking but I have not. Kind of feels like a Caffeine high, with out the jitters. The best way to describe it is “dizzy”, but its not room spinning dizzy, it’s a woozy, lightheaded (like I have been over medicated), I don’t have a CLEAR head. To me it feels like I can’t ever get the sleep out of my eyes.
I saw my Family Physician 3 weeks after it started, she treated me for a sinus infection because at the time that is what it felt like. The pain or pressure I felt then went away but  I never got over this “dizzy” sensation. She did a series of blood test (liver, Kidney, thyroid, blood sugar), had an MRI, MRA, CT scan and an EKG it all came back normal. I also had a blood patch done. I went to an ENT and he did several tests for meniere's disease which came back normal. He did say I had an abnormality in my right ear but he was pretty confident that I did not have meniere's. I have seen a Neurologist, Nuero-Ophthalmologist, Vestibular therapist, OBGYN and no one can seem to find out what’s wrong. I went and saw a physiatrist and he said I have anxiety which I do, but he wasn't sure that anxiety was causing this problem. I feel like I have anxiety because I am frustrated with the treatments and doctors that I have seen. I don't know where to go at this point. I can't live like this. It’s hard for me to work, concentrate, have fun/take care of my kids. If anyone has gone through something similar and was treated and cured please contact me.

Did you ever find out what was wrong with you? I am nine months PP and having some of the same problems. It’s so frustrating! I have also went through the whole nine of doctors.

I was not PP when I experienced this, my kids were elementary age. But, I did have this same kind of wooziness.  I had Eustachian tube dysfunction.  An ENT (ear nose and throat doctor) diagnosed me and treated it.  There are also crystals that can get in the tube and have to work their way out. They cause vertigo, dizziness while that is happening and it can take some time.  An ENT also does a positioning maneuver with you that can move the crystals faster.  Either way, I guess I"m suggesting you get to the doctor to sort this out.  New mama's can't afford to be less than tip top shape, right?!

Wow, you poor thing. You have really been through a lot. Since you have had all kinds of tests and all kinds of doctors, permit me to recommend a good chiro, your symptoms sound suspiciously like a misplaced vertebrae in your neck. You have had everything else checked and have  been cleared, so it sure would not hurt to try one, never know, it just might be the missing link.  My chiro really helps me when I am dizzy and feel "Foggy".

Yes, anxiety CAN cause these problems too, and just having a little one (congratulations by the way) can cause some uncertainty, you may not even realize it at the time. Again, a chiro can help that too.

Please keep us posted as to how you are doing.
