Could I Have A Yeast Infection?

I have had yeast infections & I know when to spot them like the back of my hands, but I'm not sure what I have now...I have like a tingling sensation around the opening of my vagina. No discharge though. I looked & its normal color & not red or anything, but I have the urge to want to scratch sometimes. I know its not an std cus I've been tested, but if its not a yeast infection then what could be causing it? I know a lot of soaps irrate me & I think I may have irrated myself by using a shower gel? Any suggestions?

Stop using the shower gel and see what happens.  Tight clothing, soaps, perfums, powders, taking antibiotics, etc. can cause yeast infections.  If it still persists, I would have your physician assess the situation or you can try an OTC treatment if you are sure it is a yeast infection.    

Sounds like you might have a mild yeast infection.

Thanx I have stopped the shower gel and I'm using these vaginal wipes that came w this monistant kit I got. I'm goona keep an eye out on it though.

If it continues, you will need to see a gyn to rule out anything serious and to get on some meds to help.

Should I use a over the counter med or go back to my gyno? I used a monistat treatment last time I had one. Can i do the same?
