Cut on nose infection?

i recieved a very small cut on my nose, right where the bone ends and the cartillage starts. however after it happened i cleaned it as it bleed abit. after i cleaned it i noticed it was quite deep as the skin isnt very thick . but all around the small cut it is a reddish brown colour that looks a little swollen its quite la. its a few hours on and its still like that. is that normal?

thanks guys. this morning i had abit of a panic because there was what looked like a bruised oval around the tiny cut, which i first thought was a oval mole that appeared over night. the cut has scabbed over and all around it is yellow brown rough type skin. but it seems like a bruise as it went from red to normal then dark smudge and now yellow brown. hopfully it will look less noticable by the weekend. its just so strange i bearly noticed the cut yet a bruise appeared.

Yes I wouldn't worry about it at this stage. I would use topical hydrogen peroxide let it dry and you could put Neosporin on it and leave it alone. You could apply a loose bandage while you sleep. Alcohol kills viruses and is a good antiseptic, hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria and viruses. It usually works by drying out the bugs if there are any present.  Don't get the peroxide up your nose or in your eyes!

let it breathe. The skin is sensive in that region so let it breathe and stop touching it. dont worry about looking in the mirror because your mind will play tricks on you and make you feel like its gotten worse when it hasnt even changed. Wait until later on tonight or early tomorrow. Before going to bed, rub some alcahol or peroxcide on it with a cotton ball. See how it is in the morning. If its still swollen and in a deeper color then before then consult your doctor. But ive gotten cuts there plenty with my son and hi inhumane fingernails. Trust me, they go deep!! So relax and take your mind off it
