Dizziness

When i turn my head to the left/right/up/down i get a brief feeling of dizziness.  When i turn on lights in the house, i also get brief dizziness. some times when i close my eyes it feels like everything is spinning. There is no flu, i feel good everywhere else but my head. what im wondering is what could have caused this (it started randomly about 2 weeks ago) and what can i do to make these problems go back to normal?

The inner ear is not only used for hearing but as well for balance.  Inner ear problems can present abruptly.  I do not know what or where your nerve damage is, but keep in mind you have two ears, so it could be possibly something beginning with the left ear and/or more problems with the right ear.  ENT consult;my advice.  My guesses: labyrinthitis or bppv.

well, i have nerve damage in my right ear (since i was little) and it's basically what the doctor called a "dead ear" because i can't understand anything through that ear...could that be a possiblity, the only reason i wouldn't think so is because it just started happening a few weeks ago

I would get an ENT consult.  It may possibly be your inner ear.  Try to avoid the head movements that aggrevate it.
