Drug test

Here is my story.   Last night I was in a car with other people smoking, I WAS NOT.   I was in the back seat (driver's side).  Two people were smoking marijuana in the front seat.  My window was open and the blew there smoke out the window.  The car also smelled like pot because the drive smokes frequently.   My shirt smelled like marijuana after I got dropped off.  I DIDNT SMOKE.

I am supposed to take a employement drug screening test in November or December.  The test includes a hair follicle test and urine test.  I am not worried about failing the urine test, because I have seen medical literature proving it is almost impossible to fail a urine test from second hand smoke, even when tested the next day. In three months it will be all out of my urine for sure.  However, what are the possibilities that I could fail the hair test.  I have seen conflicting information.  I haven't smoked marijuana since high school (five years ago) and this is the first time I been around pot in two years.  I am planning on staying away from it until my test for sure.  Thanks for the help.

First off, not to lecture, but, I would not hang around folks that do smoke, especially when driving, it could cause a major accident and someone could get killed.

That being said, I am not sure about how long smoke or chemicals from it stay in your hair. I know hair is porous,so, it might be awhile, then again, maybe not. Seeing the test is not until November or December, I would say it might be clear, but, again, I just can not give a clear cut answer. I will say again, please do not go out with folks that are smoking it, you do not want to have your life ruined by an accident, or in this case, the loss of a potential job.
