Feet feel real strange

I am 46 years old. When I stand on my feet for a long time, I am a cashier, my feet feel swollen, fat, burning and a throbbing sensation. I thought okay, I am on my feet alot. Now it is worse in the morning. My feet burn and it hurts to touch the tops of my feet. My right foot actually hurts when I put on my sock. My toes look like little sausages, lol. Anyone know anything about this. Help, Leslie.

What you describe was my first symptom of rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 25.  I went to a rheumatologist and still go to the same one for help.  My pain was so unbearable in my feet, I went to the ER.  Let me know what you find out.

I thought that cdould be the case. My father had rheumatiod arthritis. He used to complain about his feet alot. I will go to the doc My insurance, thru my job, will kick in in a few weeks. I will make an appt. soon. Thank you, Leslie.

Do you wear supposrt hose, if not, you may want to try that, they can help folks that stand a long time.

No, I don't wear support hose. I really need to find out why this is happening. My feet are swollen and hurt sooo bad right now. I worked from 11-7 today, gotta do it again tomorrow. OUCH!!
