why do i get a sudden pain on my shin (bone) when walking?

this could be "shin splints" .  google that - it should give you professional symptoms and treatment :)  hope this helps

As a runner in high school I witnessed this as well -I described this as air in my bones - not a good feeling

When did it start?  I had this problem in both legs when I started going to college.  My aunt who is a nurse said it was shin splints.  It is from walking unaccustomed distances.  It is very painful, I found that wearing high, tight socks helped.  Mine lasted about 2 weeks.

Ive been getting that for years hurts alot too. It is called shin splints, I ride bike instead of walking too much.
