HDL high, LDL High?

HDL high, LDL High?

Hi, I had a test the other day and was told that my good cholesterol is 200 and my bad is 300.  I'm hoping I got these numbers correct.  They told me to try to bring it down or they will put me on something.  Everything I have read says that a high HDL removes the chances of heart issues.  I never take medications, not even aspirins and I really don't plan to start now.  I haven't got the paperwork back yet so I don't know specifically what the triglycerides were.

I have never heard of an HDL at 200 if you are referring to that being your "good cholesterol."  Plus, your "bad cholesterol"/LDL number is EXTREMELY high; 300.  Sorry, I don't think you got the numbers correct.

Please clarify the numbers and repost.

Ok, I'm going to run down there tommorow and see if I can get something on paper and repost.  I think the 300 LDL is accurate though, I'll have to find out the HDL.
