Hard mass in my lower abdomen. What could it be?
I am a 29 yr old female. I have recently noticed a large hard bulge in my lower abdomen when I lay flat on my back. I can't see it or feel it when I'm standing though. I have had no other symptoms that I've noticed. I have an appointment with my obgyn this week. I'm not really sure if that's who I should see. I am very concerned. I don't know what it could be. Here is a picture from the side.
It must be a huge cyst to have caused such a bulge in your tummy.
Glad that at last you know what the problems is and that you will get the cyst and the ill ovary removed.

I went to the doctor today. It's a very large cyst. They will be removing it & my ovary in a week or so.

It is Saturday today, so hopefully you will not have to wait too long before you are seen.

We had a winter storm this week so they rescheduled my appointment for next week. I've also started bleeding in between my cycle. After a lot of research, I'm pretty sure it's fibroids. If it's as big as I think it is, I'm not sure what my treatment options will be or if they will just monitor it.

They usually remove them, or do a hysterectomy.
You will find out from the obgyn what it is for certain if this is to do with your womb and she will give tell you what it is and what they would do.

The other thing that it could be is fibroids in the womb.
The obgyn is likely to do some ultrasound scans and examine you and she will give you the correct diagnoses and offer you treatment if this is required.
