Help!? Kidney pain, no infection present

I'm a 30 year old female, mother of two (youngest is 6). I've had what feels like a recurrent kidney infection for two months now. Additional symptoms are: fever, fatigue, irritability, muscle twitches, weakness in my legs, and very odd urination streams (almost like waves). I've been to a doctor three times, on and completed three different antibiotics. However, none of the labs that were taken at any of the visits showed any kind of infection. I've been tested for STDs, had physical exams, DNA swabs, etc. No one can tell me what's going on. The antibiotics do give me temporary relief, but within days of ending them, my symptoms return. If anyone can help give me an idea what to present the doctors with next it would be greatly appreciated. At this point I'm getting a little scared. Thanks!

Okay, that was a dumb question, lol.  Of course they did as they started you on antibiotics.  but if it is not clearing --  you should go again to the doctor and follow up immediately following the antibiotics for another urine culture.  I would continue to be a squeaky wheel with your doctor.  You're a mama, you don't have time to not feel well!  Let us know how it goes, okay?

Sorry to hear what you've been going through. It's possible that you have a condition that a friend of mine has. It's called Nutcracker Syndrome (Left Renal Vein Compression) and occurs at the left kidney. It's a known cause of Chronic Fatigue and all of the symptoms that you have. You should also get checked for another very similar condition that I have called May-Thurner Syndrome (Left Iliac Vein Compression). It was causing me every symptom that you have as well except the fever. These 2 conditions frequently occur together and could be the cause of your problems. My friend has both May-Thurner Syndrome and Nutcracker Syndrome. She also has a blog and support group for these conditions. Message me if you would like some more info. Hope this might help!
