Help!!

My 6 year old was sick 2 weeks ago with fevers, swollen glands, headaches..strep test negative 2 x's and mono test negative once.  Elevated white count.  Dr. gave him antibiotics and it seemed to help.

About two days later I came down with what I thought he had.  Fevers, night sweats, loss of appetite.  Went to Dr. Explained how my son was sick.  She gave me antibiotics.

four days later I wasnt feeling well and still running low grade fever.  Went to urgent care and they checked me for strep .. negative.  Mono test (looked like a small version of a pregnancy test) and it came back positive.  He told me to quit taking antibiotics.  I'm not as drowsy...but have some pain in right side of abdomen.  and feel full quickly after eating something.  no fever.  Glands are still swollen.

My concern is that my sons test was negative for mono but mine was positive.  His glands are down...mine are not although there seems to be some improvement in mine.

im pretty scared that I could have lymphoma

Why are you scared you have lymphoma? You have mono you said. Your glads will take time. Listen to what your doc says to do.

If your doctor said you have mono, then I doubt if you have lymphoma, but, if you are really concerned, it would not hurt to get a second opinion.
