Hookworm vrs. Scabies

Today my boyfriend finally went to the doctors after being infected with what looks exactly like hookworms from all the research I have done online. The pictures on MSN images are identical to what his looks like, and I mean identical!
Well here's the thing he went to the doctors and the first thing the doctor says is you have scabies. Which is highly contagious.... me and our daughter do not have anything, no sores, so cool little things crawling through our skin leaving nifty redish marks like worms under the skin *eww marks my skin crawl looking at it* Now he gave him 3 prescriptions.
1. claritin for the itch
2. Bactrim for bacterial infection
3. Permethrin 5% cream for the scabies (This stuff will be great if my daughter gets lice!)

I couldn't find anywhere where it said that any of these three medicines will help with the hookworm, would anyone know or should I send him back to a different doctor monday. He really does have hookworm there is no doubt about it by the pictures all over the internet of hookworm, his is exactly, identical, completely the same. So any info on the medication if it will help with the hookworms would be appreciated.

See if there is any information on Animal Planet.  Seriously, because they have a program called Monsters Inside Me.  I haven't looked yet, but whenever that show is on, the beginning and the ending of the program talk about finding information on the website for things like preventing of getting these parasites in the first place.  So, they may even have some other information on how to get rid of the things or which doctors would have the best information.  One show mentioned some specific medications, but not for hookworms.  It was something else and it was something geared towards children.  Anyway, it would be worth your while to check out the website.

I think I may have a parasitic infection so I am going to the doc to ask for parasite infestation medication. He should prescribe Mebendazole and Albendazole because according to my research they are the strongest antiparistics.
