How to I bring up parasites to General Physician

My Mom went on vacation to Asia in 2005. She contracted hepatitis by eating raw oysters. There wasn't permanent liver damage, but it seems like she hasn't been the same. She experiences a multitude of problems. Some of which include:

Cognitive problems
fatigue
numbness in her arm and leg (thigh) left side
Constant stuffy congested nose (allergy medicines do not seem to help)
Trouble sleeping
etc.

She has had a lot of tests. They check everything from her head to heart. Her general physician says everything checks out fine. Should we have her check for parasites? I have been experiencing some of the same symptoms.

Cognitive problems
constant stuffy nose

My doctor just states it is allergies. Allergy medications do not help me as well. I'm struggling to find an answer. One thing I have noticed is that if I increase vitamin intake and protein (through protein shakes). I seem to feel better. I'm wondering if my Mom brought back some parasites from Asia, and I somehow contracted them as well through food preparation. Is this a possibility? I was going to have her ask her doctor. How should she approach her doctor? There are thousands of parasites, so I wasn't sure if her doctor would blow her off. Are parasites a valid concern?
