How to grow taller in hight

My friend is 16 and is 5'5, hes a guy and well he feels really bad about being really short because of all he girls hes dated, he feels kinda like the women in the relationship, so i was wondering on how he could become taller? Is there a way for a guy at 16 to grow at least 3 or 4 inches more, or is he practically donw with growing? Also his dad is short as well, I beleive his hight is 5'3 or 5'2, some where inbetween.So pease help and give me an answer thanks!

You mention his Dad being 5'2" or 5'3", so you know that our height is largely determined by hereditary.  He is 5'5", so he is already taller than his Dad.  The height of his Mother would also be a factor, of course.  He should try to get over feeling down about his height because just as his Dad did, he will also find Ms. Right in time, if that's what he wants.  There is no hard rule that he cannot date or marry a woman who is taller than he is.  With some celebrity couples, the guy is shorter than the woman.  He should try to walk with confidence and not make height an issue, developing an engaging personality.  If he can do that, others will not really care.  He could do some research and find many success stories about men who were considered "short".  I'm a music fan, for instance, and some of the greatest guitarists were/are "short", some also left-handed (for another physical factor that should not bother anyone).
