I am at a loss with no cause to my illnes by the local GP :'(

I have been having these symptoms which I don't understand. I have been to the local practioner many times and nothing helps, I have had 4 blood tests, an endoscopy,a  and been on a trial and error on many different medicines.

My symptoms are:
vomiting
dry throat - worsens during physical activity
niggling cough
abdominal pains
headaches 2-3 times a week

The doctor has found nothing unusual in blood tests. i have had a muscle spasm blood test, a  liver test, pancreas test

nothing unusual was found in my endoscopy although they found a fleck of fungi/bacteria in my stomach or something which they gave me nilstat for 3 days

these symptoms have been continual since late february early march and I am really getting stressed out because I have missed all of my football season so far.

medicines I have been trialed on:

nilstat
panadein
nexium

I have been on a roaccutane course for around 7 months starting round June last year from which I haven't finished yet because I stopped it in march for fear it was causing the problem, yet nothing has changed.

I went to a natropath last week tues and he found a swollen lymphnode on my right neck which he diagnosed me as having a bacterial infection from sharing drink bottles during training. H egave me natural supplements to cure infection and boost immune system which he said mine was shocking. A few days into the new course of supplements I started to get a heavy cold which I was coughing and flegmming heavily, I have vomited a bit since then and my abdominal pains started to pick up again as a few weeks before they were there but minimal

Abdominal pains have really picked up in the past day or so.. throat still feels dry, yet i don't find things hard to swallow at all.. nasal passages feel slightly congested at the conjuction where it joins the throat and my glands under my jaw are a bit sore.. I don't know if the supplements are working or not?

hi Wezulu~Were you tested for Candida? This is a type of yeast infection that can mimic all kinds of diseases. If you have been on a long term anti-biotic, I would suspect that Candida could be the culprit. It grows mainly in the gut and intestines and the best way to test for it is via stool sample. Parasites often times can be a sign of it as well.

One reason you may be feeling sicker since you started the supplements from your naturopath is because you are going through what is called "The crisis period" This is where your body is fighting off all the infections and such, and as it kills them, they die off and you experience the symptoms worse than before, when the "die off" stops, you will start to feel better. Make sure you drink plenty of pure water, this will help to flush out any impurities that may be in your system.

Try cutting out all yeast and wheat products for awhile, also processed meats and sugar. Candida thrives on all these foods, and if indeed you do have it, you will notice a difference. Again, however, you may experience some discomfort as your body is cleansing itself and the Candida is being killed, so, be patient.

I see a Naturopath, and I really like them, sure there are times when we need an MD, but for the most part, the Naturopath is the best way to go.

Hope this helps.

Have they ruled out parasites?  (elevated eosinophils would be a red flag for this)  Also don't ignore any lumps in and around neck and throat.  Have they ruled out Non-hodgkins lymphoma?  Swollen glands could be irritating a gag reflex, leading you down the wrong path of symptoms.  Good luck!

I'm not doctor or anything, but please I concur with Remar. See another doctor. Sharing anything with others is not a good thing (drinking or eating behind someone you don't know) as you stated you share water bottles. I would ask did your doctor give you all the test that he could before just sending you home. HIV being one of them. Just as a precaution. You don't know what other's have (not that you have it, but no telling what other's have around you when you are sharing food, drinks etc... Please udpate me on how you are doing. Good Luck!!

It sounds like you need to see a different Dr and have more tests ran. I wish I could be of more help to you but I'm not sure what's going on. Do get in to see another Dr because these symptoms are'nt normal. Please let us know what you find out. Remar
