I have facial swelling with slight jaw throbbing

A few weeks ago I noticed my face had slight swelling one evening but it went down very soon after. Then a week or so later my face swelled for 3-4 days mostly in the cheek area but then went down. Now my face has swelled again but it has not gone down for a week. My upper molars slightly throb but I barely have pain.

The only thing I can come up with is TMJ/ a dental infection or maybe sinusitis. Does anyone else know if TMJ can cause swelling like this?
