I really badly need help /advice

This is really embarassing, but I have worms. Im a seventeen year old girl, and I am assuming I got them from my cat or something, because I have really good hygene. Ive tried countless cleanses and such but none seem to work. Im tired of feeling physically sick every single day, and feeling bad mentally and physically. But i am terrified to tell a doctor about this. Is there any way I can get a prescription without having to get tested? Like if I tell my doctor I have worms can they just give me the prescription, or will they have to see them or soemthing??The thought of having to do that kind of a test terrifies me. But Ive been avoiding going to the doctor for FAR too long... please help.

by the way: i have looked up types of worms and found that it is pinworms.

It is important to give a stool sample, etc. and identity the parasite properly so you will get proper treatment.  So, you NEED a physician.  This problem is SO common.  I have had pinworms myself.

Hi~Don't be embarrased, doctors see things like this daily. I would just tell the doctor what is going on and he/she will take it from there. More than likely they will need a stool sample though, that is the best way to truly see what is going on.

Thank you so much!! When I go to the doctor, what should I say? Just that I have worms? Cause the whole idea of the stool sample creeps me out ... I mean, I will if i have to, but it just kind of freaks me out, I get really nervous about those things!

worms are no big deal i had them when i was younger (2 or 3 times, actually!! I really liked my doggie to eat off my plate with me, EWWWW!!!)...you should bring a stool sample to the dr. and they will give you a dewormer to get rid of the worms...then you will be advised to wash your clothing and bedding in hot hot water and sterilize your dishes...not a big deal...worms happen, especially if you have pets!
