Is it safe to leave this blister alone for now?

I recently applied (rubbing) isopropyl alcohol to my skin and got a reaction. My skin went red and itchy and then turned purple with a red border, eventually it stopped feeling strange. After about 12 hours it became a blister which has been growing larger and larger to cover the purplish area. I haven't noticed any symptoms other than the blister swelling more. What are the possible complications or things I should look out for?
