It would be a good idea to see your Dr and tell him/her what's going on. They may order some tests to see if you're anemic or have thyroid problems. They may check you for mitral valve prolapse too. It's hard to say why your heart rate is low. Only your Dr and possible testing will tell what's going on.
I have been extremely athletic for all my life. Though this past year I have been doing alot less... How fast before your heart becomes less efficient?
I took it for 30 seconds times 2.
And no the rhythm seems off. The consistency of the strength of the beats is different. It will be very strong for a minute, I can feel the blood powering through my fingers. Another minute it will be very weak, some beats undetectable and the blood can barely get past my fingers.
I'm not shure if it skips beats or not...
it's a little less than 60 now, I think I'm okay. Back and chest still hurt though....
How do I feel? Definately not 100%...
Not too bad though...
Anyway thanks for advice!
The accepted definition of "bradycardia" is a heartbeat less than 50. Your heart rate will be lower in the morning lying down, but when you get up, at least your blood pressure should raise a little bit to compensate for blood rushing into the lower half of your body. It's not that unusual for people in really good shape to have heart rates that would be considered "bradycardia". The separation point would be does it make you feel different, weird, odd, basically out of the ordinary. If it does, you should check with your doctor. I'm curious, how long did you take your pulse to arrive at 46? Take it for at least a full minute and when you take it try to notice if it has a regular rhythm.
