Kidney infection

I have a kidney infection. The first week my doctor gave me a shot of penicillan and a script of Cipro 500mg. The second week I was still running a fever and had back pain. My doctor gave me a shot of rocephlin and a script for bactrim. He wants me to go back 2 days later to get another rocephlin shot, but I cannot afford it. So, I was wondering if I can take both the cipro and bactrim instead of getting the shot?
