Could be Heart problems or minor stroke. Need to seek medical treatment asap for testing. If you have swelling or injury to the left arm your dr can provide advice for elevation of the limb and any nerve problem occuring on left arm. Blood work and xrys  can tell a lot.

Helo..m ntt a med student but d same problem was faced currently by my mom so i can help u with an answer...d prob may b peripheral neuropthy..d symptoms r gtting null sensation, pain in hand, neck andand the nerves in that particular area..dis  problem is common in many people.its a nerve problem dat sends signals from brain to the organ n vice-versa.smetimes d person may feel lke nt understanding what to do..gets depression..mainly if a person may be lacking vitamin B12.
I suggest u to get a checkup..as prevention n safety r better den waiting 4 any risk to come..
here is a website which u can refer to in regard with my context.
