Low Iron for 7months

I have had an ongoing problem with low iron for the past seven months. I have been through a few test but still have no answers. My family doc has not suggested any further inquires as to what is causing my low iron. My last iron level was 21 with feratin at 4 I retested today by my own request after noticing my fingernails were blue. My iron was as low as 8 before I started iron supplements I am also taking b12 and vitamin c to help with absorbsion which was recommended by my husband a as a dentist who has some medical knowledge. I have undergone a colonoscopy, x-rays of my hip ( right hip pain), and an ultrasound all of the following test were normal offering no answers. I don't know what else to do! I am exhausted most days. This is not an option for me at 29years old I have three small boys to take care of!! Any suggestions would be very appreciation!

i too have had an iron issue. Mine was <3. Mt hematologist did an iron infusion, which helped. I had a multitude of tests done, still with no explanation of why.  My WBC count has been elevated for 3 yrs along with elevated platelets.  My next step is to have a bone marrow biopsy.
