Low blood solutions

Low blood solutions

I am wondering if there is other ways to quickly bring up your blood counts.  I'm allergic to iron supplement so it actually does the opposite.  I am refusing any further blood transfusions as my blood loss is of my own doing and I am not willing to keep taking blood away from people who aren't going to turn around and drain it back out.  So until my mental health improves I need a different way to bring my blood up, some sort of alternate solution to suggest to my dr!!!!  Any help would be great!  But please don't tell me simply to stop doing what I'm doing because if it was that easy I would have done it already.  I actually hate living like this.  And I will not willingly take anymore blood as my type is fairly rare or so I'm told!

There are many reasons why a blood count is low, and not all problems can be solved by dietary means. Often there are problems with the mechanisms within bone marrow that produce erythrocytes.
You should stick with the physicians until they provide a definitive diagnosis.

Ok do I was in hospital just over a week they took me Off all my medcation and slowly gave some back.  They gave me 2 units of blood the first day and 4 more because count only went up to 47.  I'm out now but for how long?  My blood count is current bouncing between 90 and 100 and they give blood

Oops wrong Burton!  They don't give blood that.
Anyhow I have other question I'm going to ask here but will also look in a forum:)
I have scars all over from head to feet, they constantly itch and hurt!!!!!  How long will they do that for?   I hate it they are so itchy and sore!  Some of them actually feel like a bruise even thoug they are clearly scars.  They are all quite deep I have used exceptionally sharp stuff to do them (a couple places as deep bone and other went through muscle!  Any ideas for when it may stop??

If indeed you require blood transfusions you should accept them. Follow your physicians advice and don't worry about "depriving others". It will cost society far more if you end up hospitalized due to brain damage secondary to a stroke or further injury due to hyopoxia. I'm not sure what a "count of 47" is. Hematocrit for a male is 45-46, so if that is your hematocrit you don't require more blood. In any event, if your marrow is normal you will replace the blood cells at a reasonable rate, so keep well hydrated. You require a consult with a dermatologist who will provide information on scar reduction/elimination. Sometimes the wounds have to be surgically debrided.

My bloodcount of 47 was explained to me as my red blood cells?  It should be between 120-150, I was up to 100 so I assumed I could go back to normal activity but apparently 100 is still considered anemic?!?  The doctor explained to me they give you blood transfusions if your blood is lower then 80.  It could be a different measuring system like temperature farrinhiet vs celsius. I do not know what surgically debrided means?
Thanks for your responses:)
