Microgestin 1/20 Fe Birth Control

I am starting a new birth control...I was on Yaz, but it had me feeling extra odd. I am now on Microgestin 1/20 Fe generic version of Loestrin. Anyway what does anyone know about this? Any major side effects I should be worried about...I was reading that it causes bigger breast, weight gain, and low sex drive...is that true for anyone else who has taken it?

Hi,
I'm actually taking Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pills and I've been experiencing almost all of those symptoms listed and just last week I started my period but Im not suppose to start till this thursday. I've had HORRIFIC cramps and I'm somewhat heavy with dark blood and red with some clomps and my period isn't flowing constantly it keeps stoping and I'm panicking cause I don't know if this is normal or not. I'm hoping I am not pregnant, but I'm still scared.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there,
Every birth control method has few advantages and disadvantages. A drug is usually prescribed by a doctor when its benefits outweigh the risks. The common side effects of Loestrin are mild nausea, vomiting, bloating, stomach cramps; breast tenderness or swelling, nipple discharge; vaginal itching or discharge; or changes in your menstrual periods, weight change, decreased sex drive etc.It is not necessary that all women will experience them. If you are anxious discuss it with your gynecologist. Take care and regards!
