Mid cycle bleeding

Hello,

I hope someone can help me put my concerns to rest.

I had a c-section almost 7 months ago, i still breastfeed my little girl, about 10 weeks ago i started substituting one breastfeeding with fruits and veggies, now i only breastfeed her in the morning when she wakes up and right before she goes to bed.

My period returned 6 weeks after c-section and has been regular until about two months ago, when instead of coming every 4 weeks i had it every 2 weeks. At first i thought it might have been one time thing, when 2 weeks after my original period i had another, then 2 weeks later another, but this one came as expected. So for past 2 months i have had unexpected bleeding just like my period in between my periods.
I read about implantation bleeding and mid cycle bleeding but they say they are usually short and light, not like a normal period, mine lasts up to a week, with bleeding for about 3 days and the remaining days brown.

I took one pregnancy test after my first unexplained phenomenon and it was negative. I should add that we did not use any kind of birth control since our baby was born.

Now i experience pain in my right ovary, and i some back pain and just feeling sick in general.

I expect my period next week so it may be related to that.

Should i worry, should i go see a doctor now or should i wait and see if i get my period next week and then two weeks later bleed again?

Did anyone went thru something similar?
