My brother

My brother has always had problems and  I want to get him some help so he can lead normal life.  He has been slow learning and has had medical issues from birth. I don't know whats wrong and I need to know were to take him to get help. I was only 6 when he was born and my grandma said it was something to do with his blood type.  I  would like to get him a complete check up and mental heath evaluation to find out whats wrong with him and try and help him but he has no money or insurance. He is 30 now ans acts like he 12 in someways.
Any help you can give would  greatly appreciated.

He sounds sort of autistic but I am no expert.  Have they done medical evaluations? The comment about a neurologist is a good place to start. I hope it can be helped with meds.

He talks to himself a lot and he still buys toys and plays video games all day long. Imagine a 30 year old man that has the mind of a 12 year boy. He will walk up and down the drive way talking to him self and has to be told do just about everything.  It's almost like he stopped stopped growing mentally.

I would suggest primary doctor & getting them to order some tests to be done & to recommend a neurologist or other specialist in that area.
Some hospitals have programs to help people who don't have insurance. It helps cut some of the costs. I would check with your hospitals near by & see what kind of help they offer. Also, is he on disability or does he work? If he's on disability he should be able to get some medical benefits from it.
