My cortisol levels at 8:am was 1.0

I had been sick for more them one year. I have been feeling fatigue, very dizzy and chest pain. My PCP order a hormone testing ( I took dexomethasone at 11pm night before 8am blood test was done) my cortisol levels came back 1.0 I still not recieved any call from doctor thats mean that my cortisol levels are normal?

Thank you Ricord for your advice I would email my PCP and ask her for a referral

That is a very low cortisol level for that time of day. It should be above 5 or 6. The medication you took the night before usually acts to raise the cortisol level, and yet you're still low.

You will probably want to go see an endocrinologist. I would call my PCP and ask for a referral right away, especially as you have felt so sick for so long. You need to get your thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands checked out.
