Neuroleptic malignant syndrome

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome

My father recently died from "Lewy Body disease."  He had been previously diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but became delusional, and was then prescribed Seroquel.  Although he had been in good health, hebecame worse and died in 3-4 months.  He had headaches, rigidity, felt hot (unusual because he usually always felt too cold), and had difficulty moving, almost as though he was paralyzed.  He had at least two episodes where he stopped breathing and had no apparent heart beat for 10 minutes (the nurse thought he had died).  The last episode he died for good.  My question is, could this have been neuroleptic malignant syndrome?  The doctors were looking at x-rays, cat scans, MRIs, diagnosing a broken neck, or cranial vessel blockage, but evidently never suspected NMS, since the meds were never stopped or reduced.
