Numb hand after vaccine in upper arm

I had a vaccine for meningitis and scepticimia at midday yesterday. It was in my upper left arm and consisted of one shot. The site of the injection is a little sore, however, the bottom of the palm of my hand is numb. I can feel things, but its tingly and can extend up to my elbow. Its been 12 hours and I want to know what has caused this.It has not really gone but at times, faded. I take birth control and have no known allergies. I'm also a 16 year old female. Could this even be anxiety of some sort? This was not included in the common symptoms leaflet I was given.

Hm, well.  the numbness sounds like something going on with your nerve and perhaps the shot was given slightly in the wrong place and this was affected.  I would think this is going to resolve and it sounds like it is a bit.  But you should really call the office that gave you the shot and inquire about it.  I had the meningitis shot and had a lymph node in my neck swell up to the point where it looked like a marble!  I called the doctor and was told that this is a rare reaction (I mean, it was big an you could see it very plainly) but that it should subside.  It did in about 2 weeks.  They gave it two weeks and said if it was still there, to call back and be seen.  It was gone, so all good.  I tell you this because people can have out of the ordinary reactions and your doctor will want to know about it.  So, call them and report this.  Let us know what they say, okay??
