It is likely that the infection from the sinuses has spread down your respiratory tract.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. don't forget to drink plenty of warm drinks to stay hyrated.
A chest infection is quite possible. I had a sinus infection about 3 weeks ago. Thanks for all the help.
Good idea to see your doctor. Even though your chest is a little better now, as you have a headache (probably from the fever) it is likely you have a chest infection.
Best wishes and a speedy recovery.
Well I don't think the hospital is necessary as my chest feels slightly better but now I have a headache and I think I mild fever. I'm going to try and see my regular MD. tomorrow.
Thanks, I might see if my husband will take me to the hospital when he gets home from work because my chest has started aching.
Yes it is that what the doctor does using the "doohicky", I can't remember the name for it either! There is also a lung function test done at the hospital which is more advanced.
With your chest feeling tight and you are now coughing up phlegm, if this is green, yellow or blood stained, then you need to get back to your doctor as you may now have a chest infection and will need a course of antibiotics.
If you experience tight chest problems and your lungs are clear, then your doctor should send you for an ECG to rule out any heart problems.
Sometimes it can just be from muscle problems.
wishing you a speedy recovery.
If a lung function test is performed with the doohicky you blow into to move the colored plastic meter then I've already had one recently. My Dr. has me do it every time I go in there. I always get good results. I was just running the vacuum and my chest got tight and heavy so I had to sit down. Now I'm coughing up phlegm.
Try to gradually cut down on the smoking.
One cigarette has 92 carginogens (poisons).
The symptoms you describe are quite typical of asthma.
Go see your doctor and get your lungs checked out.
Also a lung function test will be able to confirm asthma or not.
As you are doing the dusting and cleaning and you are experiencing this, it sounds like the dusts and chemicals (cleaning sprays) are aggravating your condition.
Once the doctor establishes what it is, he will be able to prescribe you with the right medicaiton.
I have a similar problem with not getting enough oxygen and the doctor has prescribed me with Ventolin.
The thing is to rule out any lung issues from any anxiety issues. But as you are getting this whilst cleaning, I get a picture that the lungs are being aggravated by the movement of dusts.
If you are on a high regimen of Vit. D, you should take it regularly. High doses of Vit. D are usually recommended for parathyroid problems. Don't mess around with your health!!! Take your vitamins as directed by your doctor. Many people don't even know what the parathyroid does - it regulates calcium and other minerals in your body. Without enough Vit. D you can get something similar to Ricketts - soft bones and ripples in your bones. Please take care of yourself.
I notice too that if I drink something really cold it relaxes my chest and back muscles.
The only thing it seems to be connected with is fatigue. I did have blood work done last Oct. due to fatigue and it was all normal except low levels of Vit. D. I'm supposed to be taking 2000 units a day but I forget. Also, when I have these episodes of shortness of breath the muscles in my back around my shoulder blades get really tight and tired like they are cramping up.
Anxiety is often not felt: similar to stress. It can manifest itself in ways we really aren't expecting.
This happens to me once in a while. Usually, I can calm myself down. Also, do you notice WHEN this happens? I get short of breath after eating, and it turned out to be severe GERD. If you're having breathing issues that pop up 30 minutes - 2 hours after eating, you may be having issues with acid. It's strange but true.
The other possibility is anemia. It often shows itself through fatigue.
But in the end, I would agree with silverfox. If home remedies don't work, see a doctor. It could be many issues and they can find out fairly quickly with blood work and imaging.
Try taking Magnesium - it helps with anxiety, shakes, trembling and some heart arrythmias. If it doesn't help, see a cardiologist. you might have a murmur (usually the mitral valve). Very common heart problem and can be helped with meds.
