PAIN IN RIGHT RIBS

SIR....i want to know that about pain right ribs regularly approx 6th month "i have been suffers lunges problems 11month regularly but it is finished"dr..said"but my ribs pain is continue ........plz help ......i will wait ur answer?ashu mehta

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about the pain in your ribs. Although you are always welcome here I do think they your question may be better suited for Family Medicine or the Respiratory Disorders Forum. I think you may obtain more response at either forum.

All I can suggest is that you see another physician if the one you were seeing is unable to give you any reasons for your pain. There are numerous possibilities such as inflammation in the cartridge between your ribs. Costochondritis is a common form of inflammation of the cartilage where ribs attach to the breastbone. Tietze syndrome is a similar condition involving the same area of the front of the chest. It is usually associated with some swelling and sometimes warmth in the area of the pain. You may not have either of those conditions and that is why it is important to seek out a second medical opinion.

Does the pain radiate into the back and up to the shoulder, you could have some Gall bladder problems going on, is it worse after you have eaten and at night, start on a no/low fat diet dont eat later at night, ask your doctor if it could be gall bladder. Good Luck let us know how you are doing.
