I have severe pain in my liver everytime I take pain medicine or drink alcohol. It's very annoying, I've had to suffer through broken bones and dental work because, if I take pain medication it causes more pain than what I was taking the meds for initially. Does anyone know what this is?

Okay, that's what I was wondering, if it was your gallbladder. Did your Dr tell you to stay away from fatty foods and alcohol after your surgery?

Yes, it is on the right side, under my ribcage. I've had my gallbladder removed already so I know it's not that.

Needless to state, you need to have a physician check the state of your liver. There are simple blood tests.

This should be a priority.

Are you having the pain up under the right side of your ribs? That's where your liver is. Or are you having it more in the middle?
Pain meds can cause stomach pain because they can irritate the stomachs of some people.   Remar
