Painful itch after an injection on my buttocks

I took a malaria injection sometime last year and since then I've been feeling slight pain on my buttocks which sometimes itches me. I am kinda scared about this because it is not normal. I usually apply  ice on the area but it continues that way.  Please advise what I should do.

I tried to search to see if I could find anything on itch after a year and pain after a year ago shot.  I couldn't.  I would call the office where you got the shot.  I think that is your best bet to find out what is going on.  I'm sure that is a frustrating after all this time.  I read that it CAN happen immediately following but it has been a long time now.  So, call the place where you got the shot and report this for guidance from them.  good luck
