Pelvic Pain

I've been having the same pelvic pain for quite some time now. Its on the left side and it also seems to make my entire leg hurt or feel numb. I had an ultrasound which only found one cyst on the right side, a catscan, which found nothing except the right cyst, and a  colonoscopy which have found nothing to cause the pain. All three tests have seemed to irritate the pain and cause it to feel worse for the next few days after. The pain usually comes and lasts for at least a week, and then will go away, and then comes back again. Any ideas?

I had that, and having once in a while, I tried to monitor it and noticed that it comes once a month and could be hormone thing. I have partial hysterectomy but still have that feelings like you sad pelvic pain with leg together.

I have suffered from chronic pelvic pain for almost 2 years. I had a surgery removing my right ovary and my uterus. The pain didn't go away. It has gotten worse now both sides hurt and my knees give out on me. My doctor sent me to a pain specialist and they said it was nerve pain and wanted to inject me with steriods right where it hurt. I am terrified of needles and so of course this isn't an option for me. I was also told it may be fibromyalgia but after taking Lyrica I felt like I was losing my mind. I have tried to live with the pain and I haven't been able to work for two years. I feel for you because it is almost a hopeless situation. Have you seen a specialist yet?

My daughter has pelvic pain, after her first child was born, now she is 28yr two children, partial histirectime, sorry about spelling, she has endimetrois.  And needs a full histriectime, look this up, it causes sists to form, and is very painful.  She has been told that she has always had this, but in child birth, the condition got much worse.  Hope that you find help for your daughter.

Wow, I think all of you would be helped by a good chiropractor. All the symptoms you folks have indicate to me pinched nerves and vertebrae. You see, when certain areas are "out" you will have this pain and no drugs, no surgery, nothing will help until you get the vertebrae and nerves unpunched. Even if it is hormonal, the chiro can help. I have known them to help with cramps, PMS. even fibro. Hey, it sure wouldn't hurt to give it a try. They will probably first do a consultation with you, then some x-rays in the areas that hurt, then adjust accordingly. I bet it will help. I know they sure help me. The best part about chiros is you can use them along with your other docs, one will not hurt the other's method of healing, if anything, the adjustments will enhance the doc's treatments by opening up areas to let the meds work.  A good chiro is worth his/her weight in gold. Most accept insurance and Medicare as well.

Any time a woman who can still have kids has pelvic pain, a pregnancy test is in order. Ectopic pregnancy, pelivc inflam disease, STDs (very common), bladder/kidney infections all need to be ruled out as a possible cause.  Perhaps a visit to your gyn is in order.  Seems like you've covered all your other bases...
