Pharyngitis

I had pharygitis 3 weeks ago. I still have pain in my throat like I did then. The pain is where my tonsils were...She said the puss pockets I had were right where my tonsils were. I am wondering if this just takes some time to get over or could it be a reoccurance??

have you ever had strep throat? if you have the pus pockets don't self clean and can cause reoccurrence.

Yes, Maybe it does take time to heal, but in the meantime, do some gargling with warm water, with some drops of lemon and honey..this is an antiseptic and inflammation remedy...if not, do go to the Dr..maybe you have some small inflammation and bacteria left in there...and you need some antibiotics with inflammation meds....in the meantime, do the gargling, and eat some ice-cream, which helps with the inflammation..another old gradmas favorite remedy..ice-cream is usually given after you tonsils out, helps with the pain, and inflammation...

but like i said, after 2 weeks with no relief in sight, or you get worst...go to your MD...

hope you get well soon..
