Possible Hernia?

I recently had lapriscopic surgery. I now have a lump inside my belly button. It's hard, turning purple, and hurts. Could this be a hernia?  Here is a picture of it?

I don't think it is a hernia.  I just had a hernia repaired and this is what it is.  It is a hole in the abdominal wall that your intestines are trying to push through.  although you are likely to have a hernia at the site of a opening for surgery it sounds like you have an infrcted puss bubble and really need to go back to the doctor to have them check it out!

Better get it checked, and soon. My friend had hernia surgery on the naval and it sure did not look like this.

Looks like a pocket of pus.  I would recommend reconsulting the physician who did the LS (Laparoscopic Surgery).
