Rib Pains

Ive been having really bad pains in my ribs just under my right breast for over a year now when it first started i went to my doctor which she just gave me Cocodamols and told me to take 2 four times a day when i was taking them i was very sleepy and i have to stop taking them i have been back to the doctors since then and they just said to me i had to rest. This is getting out of hand now and i cant cope with this pain i can be sat down on sofa (sat straight) and it will just start hurting me. the pain only really occurs when am sat down and i have to lay down to try get rid of the pain. i am only 19 and im sick of this its really painful and i cry most nights when imm sat down and it occurs and its too painful to do anything.... PLEASE help me i cant cope anymore

Try going to a Physiotherapist.  They will examine you and feel if this is a rib or muscle or tendon problem etc, Furthermore, see the same doctor again and tell him/her that the pain is still there and you would like further investigations. i.e. Xrays or scan.

i have tried all those tablets they just say rest but i cant be in bed 24/7 all the time. and ive seen 2 doctors now and they dont seem to say anything positive.

See another doctor. Did your doctor run any tests, take an xray? Have you tried taking an anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen or naproxin sodium?
