Scarring
I have a light olive skin color that scars worse than most. Last year I had an operation on my shoulder and now have a terrible pinky-purple scar. It is a thick line and also has lumps (I think it's tissue)
I am only 14 so I get really self conscious about it, so if anyone knows anything or has the same problem- Please help?

you should use Mederma for scars, over time it will help lighten the color of the scar making it less noticeable , but it may always be raised.

scar tissue is a normal part of the wound healing process, this pink-purple colouration is what your skin looks like with out Melanin to colour it. This will take time. There is a product on the market that as a health professional i recommend to patients and friends, it is called bio oil. http://www.bio-oil.com/uses.html
