Severe cramping in all muscles

Severe cramping in all muscles

Hi there. I was hoping someone may be able to help me with my problem. I get severe cramps in all my muscles. There's no muscles exempt from  them. It is very painful when it happens which is a daily thing. It depends what i am doing as to which muscles cramp up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can cause this. I always suffered with them in the calves of my legs but this is everywhere. If i floss my teeth and need to open my mouth wide i get them in my jaw and neck. I get them in my fingers, toes, feet, inner thighs, waist, back, upper and lower arms, hands, neck, jaw, stomach. If i bend over to pick something up my stomach cramps terribly. It is so painful and at times i am unable to walk due to the severity of them. When i get them in my upper legs i have been cripled and unable to move. It can sometimes take  so long at times for them to ease. I have cried with the pain. I mentioned it to my doctor once but he just litterally fobbed me off. I would really like to know what it is but i also have this fear incase it is something more serious.

Are you having enough salt in your diet? What does you diet consist of? Is there enough good fats and do you eat bananas?

Do check with your doctor and tell him it is seriously disrupting your life!

All the best!

Are you for sure the pain is in your muscles? This sounds like a serous case of arthritis, but that is in the joints.

The most common cause of such cramps is calcium deficiency, and the problem can often be resolved by drinking several glasses of milk a day or taking a calcium supplement.

I feel i do get enough salt in my diet and i eat a lot of fresh vegetables and an average amount of fruit. I know it is definitely cramps and not arthritis. I also feel i get enough calcium as well so i am still really at a loss as to what is causing them. It has only been since i had a fall about 3 months before they started. Apart from that i just got the usual calf muscle cramps occasionally. Thanks for the replys just the same. :)
