Shaking

What could be the cause of violent shaking starting in my legs and moving up my body to my arms? I was awake after a few hours sleep lying in bed. I have low thyroid and take medication. Low dose of Levothyroxin I also have glaucoma and take several eye drops for that condition.

Are you on any other new meds? It May have been  a seizure.  I would see you doctor. They can do an EEG to see if you brain waves are normal. Also, they can do a CT of the brain.
