Don't use any soaps or shower gels, this dries the skin and changes the pH level of the delicate skin.

Itchiness can also be from a fungal infection like Thrush.  Antifungal creams for the genital area that can be purchased from the pharmacist will help.  As a home remedy you can put on natural live yogurt on the cleaned and gently dried area.

Only use non-biological detergents and fabric softeners for sensitive skins.
Wear only cotton underwear and don't wear tight clothing.

Glad that the zinc is helping.

The skin isn't tight it's just flaky and itchy.

I am currently trying the zinc cream and it seems to be working. Thank you for recommending it!

Usually a cortisone crème will suffice, possibly a zinc crème.  If that doesn't improve as per the instructions of the medication then see a dermatologist.  It's a good idea to ask a pharmacist as it could save you a doctors visit.  Where I live a doctor visit costs nothing, I realize that isn't the case in many places, but if it is free then go to a dermatologist first.

If your skin is tight, scaly and flaky, consider supplementing with essential fatty acids. Evening primrose oil and black currant oil are both good sources of GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), which helps promote skin, hair and nail health. The usual dose is 500 mg twice a day and you won't see immediate results, but in six to eight weeks you'll begin to notice positive changes.
Now brand Jojoba Oil  http://www.nowfoods.com/Jojoba-Oil-Pure-4oz.htm

It may be due to an irritant and is a form of dermatitis.  I presume that when you say nothing helps, that you have tried moisture and antiseptic creams.

As those creams did not work, purchase a cream that is both antifungal and antibacterial from your pharmacist and apply that for a few days and see how you get on.

Keep the area clean and moisturised using baby oil.
