Sore throat, swolen cheeks

My partner is in pain with a sore throat for the last 2 days today the left side of her face has swollen and is rather tight.

When the sore throat started we thaught it would be tonsilitus however as she is allergic to most antibiotics (mainly penecillin) we dicided just to let it run its course and to drink plenty of water.

Does anyone have any ideas or know what to do?

Hello Samstaton,

She needs a physician ASAP. Even though she is allergic to alot of antibiotics she still needs treatment with something. I don't think drinking plenty of water is going to take care of the situation though it is keeping her hydrated.

Please take her to a physician. It could be anything. She needs to physically examined.
