Stabbing pain in lower ribs

Stabbing pain in lower ribs

Ok, so I have had pneumonia for two weeks but it has finally gone away. However, I am still coughing up phlim? a little and recently I coughed fairly hard and my ribs popped and left me in extreme pain. I thought I had cracked one but xrays showed they were in tact. I couldnt breath very well and just walking around was painful. That side finally started to get better when on the opposite side, the exact same thing happened, leaving me gasping for air and hardly able to move around. Its a sharp, stabbing pain in my lower ribs and no one can seem to help me. Whats going on????
Thank you

Having Pneumonia can take weeks to finally feel normal and be symptom free. Somtimes even months can go by until you feel 100%. Pneumonia is a serious condition and takes time to clear the lungs. Please be patient. I would guess that giving yourself another couple of weeks will make all the difference in the world on how you feel.

If the symptoms haven't subsided by that time, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to re-check with your Doctor.

My best,
Mollyrae
