Stabbing pain

I have an intermittant short, painful stabbing pain that commenced 12 hrs ago in my rhs of my head just below the crown. This has continued but now I also have the same sharp pain in my right ear, occurring alternately with the head pain. What could this be?

Any possibility of shingles? You don't always have the visible sores before the pain. Sometimes never. If there is a possibility seek medical help to start antiviral meds to stop progression, fast action is the key.
Also look into Cluster headaches, migraines, TMJ and trigeminal neuralgia. You can find informative forums on all here to help. If pain persists or worsens of course see a doctor. Also note if anything triggers it like cold, noise, chewing and other sensitivities. Good luck.

I have had migraines for years and the neuro doc said my head would feel weird at times. The natropath said I have a weak blood vessel in my head and now the stabbing pains come only in one area.Still here but would get checked out and know for sure whats going on.God bless and keep us informed.

Pains in the head like that and are sudden you should get checked. Especially if you have any swelling around eye/eyes or pupil is enlarged. It could be a brain aneurysm and pressing on something.
