Swollen and MORE

Hi. I'm 25, black female, with a recurring swollen lymph node on my left side in the neck. I understand the heightened risk of HIV due to my stats. Been tested and I'm negative. My mother has lupus, and both osteo and rhumetoid arthritis. I was also tested for mono, and that was negative. I don't have my tonsils, and the swollen lymph node comes and goes, and is painful. I would say it comes around at least once a month from anywhere from 1 day to 4. I've been tested for lupus also...negative. More recently, I've had VERY mild night sweats, which my husband attributed to our overheated bedroom. I also have lower back stiffness and stiffness on both sides of my body, but only when I wake up in the morning, and that usually subsides a few hours later. Lastly. something that seems to never subside is the painful swelling and stiffness in my legs. It's frequent, and even worse when I have my periods. So I guess to sum it all up, I'm concerned about the stiffness in my lower back and sides, the reoccuring lymph node swelling, along with the leg pains. My doc ran a full battery of tests a while back, and it all came back clean. By a while back, I mean about 5 months ago. I've had no new sexual partners (I'm married), and much of what I've described has been going on for more than a year. Any insight would be helpful.

Hi momtofourboys:
I went to see the doc today. She says all test for lupus and RA are negative, and she also told me to call my ENT to find out if they left behind anything when they took out my tonsils. She wants to get me a CAT scan on the spleen, and I will update everyone when that happens. All bloodwork came back peachy, which is great to know!
