Swollen lymph glands???

Hi I have a problem which has been bothering me for about 2 months. My left armpit and upper side feels swollen and 'pulling'. I went to the doctor who thought it was an infection so put me on antibiotics - it still feels the same.
After finishing the antibiotics over the last few weeks I have had severe pains in the back of my head, a recurring eye problem where the conjunctiva swells. The doctor gave me eye drops for this but it has returned after finishing the prescription. The pains in my head are in a block directly at the back and cause me to be unable to turn my head fully. I have seen an optician and all appears to be OK there. I have had blood tests which show nothing more than an inflammation or infection. I have had a chest x-ray which has come back clear and I am on the waiting list for an ultrasound of the left axillia where I feel the discomfort.
Most recently there is a dull pain in my left shoulder, my upper arm and across my upper back on the left side also. I had a mammogram last year and all was Ok. I don’t smoke or drink, am 45 years old and active. All very odd but I would like some advice if possible. Would something like lymphoma show in my bloodwork and xray? Many thanks for any help!

Hi sassylassy, Thanks for your reply.
Ended up in A & E again this week as the pains in my head were unbearable and moving down into my chest, upper back with pins and needles in my face. The doctor there rechecked my blood test results and assured me that anything serious would have shown up ( ie - lymphoma ). Meanwhile, my blood pressure had gone up to 190 / 110 and after examination and a long discussion the doc told me he thought I have a pinched nerve in the back of my head. ( The C2 nerve ). Not ignoring the feeling of discomfort under my arm he has recommeded still going for the ultrasound next week but there are no lumps or bumps there now and the swollen lymph glands have gone down. The doc has given me anti inflammatory painkillers and recommended physio to treat the trapped nerve. He believes it is all stress related - not really surprising as I'm juggling winding down my media consultancy business, at college training to be a teacher, working in a school to get practical experience and have two small children! Who knew a trapped nerve could cause so much mayhem!
Thank you again for taking the time to reply to me.

Hello~It looks like you have had a lot of test done. If they did not do one for lymph cancer, you might want to ask for it. However, everyone of your symptoms point to a pinched nerve, and NOTHING but a chiropractor can help that,. When our nerves in the neck and upper back are "out" or pinched, they can cause all kinds of visual problems, head ache, pain in the arms and side, you name it. A chiropractor will take x-rays, read them and then go over them with you and tell you the plan of action. Doctors do not read x-rays the same as chiropractors do, the chiro is trained in this area and can pin point many problems. It is sure worth a try. I see one, and he has helped me so much, I would be lost without him.
